OEE Performance Scores
If availability, performance and quality are not compromised in any way, a perfect OEE of 100% can be achieved, meaning that all qualified products are produced at maximum speed without interruption. Achieving this theoretical score in real production is often unlikely, with OEE scores above 80% being considered very good performance. Most manufacturing companies typically operate in the 60% to 80% OEE range. When OEE falls below 60%, it means that there are serious problems in the plant and a score at this level can be seen as a warning sign that there is significant room for improvement.
80% - 100% excellent - difficult to achieve in practice
60% - 80% is good - the level of most manufacturing companies
60% or less is poor - lots of room for improvement
